Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in medical administration or related field
- Certification as Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliant)
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Quiet, professional home office environment
- Availability for at least 20 hours per week
- Typing speed of at least 50 WPM

Medical VAs perform a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks remotely, including appointment scheduling, medical transcription, insurance verification, patient follow-ups, maintaining electronic health records, and assisting with billing and coding. The specific duties depend on the healthcare provider's needs.
You'll need a reliable computer (Windows or Mac), dual monitors (recommended), a high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps), a quality headset with microphone, and a quiet, distraction-free workspace. Some positions may require specific software which we will provide.
We offer both! Most of our VAs start part-time (20-30 hours/week) with the opportunity to transition to full-time based on performance and availability. We also have overnight and weekend shifts available.
We provide a comprehensive 2-week paid training program that covers our systems, protocols, and best practices for virtual medical assistance. You'll also receive ongoing training and support as needed, including updates on healthcare regulations and new technologies.
After submitting your application, qualified candidates will be invited for a virtual interview. Successful candidates will then complete a skills assessment and background check before beginning the training program. The entire process typically takes 2-3 weeks.
